Big Break

A clan of 2 adults & 5 juvenile Black-eared kites seemed laidback and resigned at a river's mouth. They spend most of the morning in the trees, staying away away from the water, where the food and power is.. and from the air space, which is at a premium during the onset of a mating season. Their poise for survival compare starkly against the instincts of local raptors vying for dominance and courtship..
